Bonds and bank deposits are both fixed income investments but the value of bonds can change significantly due to fluctuations in interest rates, market sentiment or even political events.Eurobond An international bond that is denominated in a currency not native to the country where it is issued. So by definition, these Eurobonds are issued in Eurocurrency, for example:- - Eurodollar bonds issued in Japan
- EuroYen Bonds issued in Australia
- EuroSterling bonds issued in Holland
Nicknames to some eurocurrency bonds are:- - Yankee - A bond denominated in U.S. dollars and is publicly issued in the United States by foreign banks and corporations.
- Dragon – A bond that is issued in Asia, excluding Japan, but denominated in U.S. dollars.
