Decree No 22 “Guaranteed recovery of individuals’ cash assets in accounts and/or bank deposits” of November 4, 2008 provides for full recovery of individuals’ savings in the State owned Belarusbank and Belagroprombank.
Non resident withholding tax on interest
According to the Belarusian laws, individuals’ incomes gained from bank deposits are exempt from taxes.
